El VY | The New Project by Matt Berninger and Brent Knopf

Matt Berninger of The National and Brent Knopf of Menomena and Ramona Falls, have teamed up for a new project by the name of EL VY (pronounced "El Vye"...or as a press releases states, "pronounced like the plural of Elvis" -- Incredible).

Yesterday, they released the title track off the upcoming album album, Return to the Moon, due out October 30th. The track features Berninger's signature melancholy vocals atop uptempo, electro-rock instrumentation that establishes a refreshing sound quite different from The National.

The title track from the debut album by EL VY, released October 30th by 4AD. EL VY is the musical collaboration between Matt Berninger, vocalist and lyricist of The National, and Brent Knopf, the Portland musician and producer best known for his work in Menomena and his more recent band, Ramona Falls.

The album's track listing will be as follows:

01 | Return to the Moon (Political Song for Didi Bloome to Sing, With Crescendo)
02 | I'm the Man to Be
03 | Paul Is Alive
04 | Need A Friend
05 | Silent Ivy Hotel
06 | No Time to Crank the Sun
07 | It's a Game
